Initial Idea

My intial idea for the opening sequence:
'Euphoria'

We see a young man awake in an alleyway in the centre of a bustling city. He is incredibly dirty and ragged, ripped clothes, and is bleeding from the mouth. He stands up, dazed, clearly confused about what he is doing in this alleyway. We see him rummage through his pockets and pull out several objects: a photo of a girl, a phone with no battery, an empty cigarette box and a blood stained pen knife.

He wanders, confused, through a busy street, and we see several very unclear flashbacks as the man struggles to remember what has happened to him. These flashes continue as he moves, and his world begins to spin.

He collapses on the floor, unconcious, and blood begins to run from his nose.

After i pitched this idea, as a group we decided that while it is enticing and potentially very effective, it is far too complex based on our time restraints and available resources. Flashbacks and parallel narrative's can work well, but not in only 2 minutes; we decided it would simply be far too random and unclear for our audience, and extremely difficult for us to film and edit together successfully.

We also realised that it was unlikely we would be able to film easily in a crowded street in central London; the whole idea (while very interesting) was just far too ambitious for our project, and we believed that it would impede on the quality if we attempted it.
